SIDEF (2006-2008): Intelligent System for Non-Invasive Detection and Evaluation of Liver Fibrosis, Restructuring and Dysplasic Nodules using 2D/3D Ultrasonography and Molecular Markers
The main purpose of the project is the creation of a prediction model concerning the liver pathological state, based on an intelligent system that non-invasively detects and evaluates the fibrosis stage, the restructuring grade and the dysplasic nodules using 2D and 3D ultrasonography and the molecular markers.
FINALISM (2006-2008): NON-ALCOHOLIC FATTY LIVER DISEASE, CHRONIC VIRAL C HEPATITIS AND GALLSTONE DISEASE – COMPONENTS OF THE METABOLIC SYNDROME. CLINICAL EPIDEMIOLOGY, PATHOGENESIS, NON-INVASIVE DIAGNOSIS
The main purpose of the project is the creation of a prediction model concerning the liver pathological state, based on an intelligent system that non-invasively detects and evaluates the steatosis and steatohepatitis grade, using 2D and 3D ultrasonography.
SONOFIBROCAST (2007-2010): Staging and prediction algorithm of hepatic fibrosis evolution using non invasive ultrasound techniques, optimized by stochastic analysis and image processing.
This project is an interdisciplinary project that aims at increasing the diagnosis power of ultrasound examination for hepatic fibrosis. Here, they are employed thechniques like standard ultrasound investigation, real time elastogrpahy transient elastography and contrast ultrasound investigation.
